    FPMR 2008 Research Awards and Grants Program

      The Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s (FPMR) mission is to enhance health and function through education and research in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. To fulfill that mission, the FPMR is now accepting applications for its 2008 Awards and Grants Program to support and promote excellence in rehabilitation research. All application submissions must be postmarked by May 15, 2008.

      l ERF New Investigator Research Grants ? Two $10,000 short-term seed grants for research in cdb_1_topics related to the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Eligible applicants for grant include any resident in an ACGME-accredited residency training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation or a physiatrist within five years of completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

      l ERF Best Paper Award ? Two awards of $2,000 each (one to a New Investigator and one to an Established Investigator) are presented in recognition of research published by a physiatrist in any peer-reviewed journal.

      l Musculoskeletal (MSK) Education and Research Grant ? PASSOR provided an endowment to the Foundation in support of research related to rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. The MSK Grant is for research on a topic related to the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the area of musculoskeletal conditions. Special consideration will be given to applications focused on outcomes research. One grant of $10,000 will be made.

      l Medical Student Research Stipend ? A $3,500 stipend will be given to a medical student to perform a short-term (90-day) research project in the area of physiatry.

      l ERF新调查人员研究基金-两项1万美金的短期拨款,资助物理医学与康复医学领域相关科研项目。符合条件的申请者包括任何一名接收ACGME(公认的物理医学与康复学住院医师培训计划)的住院医师或在五年内完成ACGME的物理治疗师。

      l ERF最佳论文奖-设两项,每项2000美金(一项是给新的研究人员,另一项是给已确定的研究人员),奖励对象为物理治疗师,以表彰其在任一经过同行专家评议的期刊上发表的研究论文。

      l 肌肉骨骼的教育与研究经费-是由PASSOR提供,捐赠给基金会用来支持关于肌肉骨骼康复方面的研究。该经费用以资助肌肉骨骼疾病在物理医学与康复学领域中的研究。注重成果研究的申请将被特殊考虑。一项研究资助1000美金。

      l 医学生科研津贴-医学生可获得3500美元的资助来完成在物理治疗方向的短期(90天)科研项目。
