　　Dear Editors and members of the Editorial Board for Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine,

　　It is a pleasure for me to announce that the 2-year impact factor for 2011 for Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine has arrived and is 2.049.

　　Thus, again it is now over 2. As you can see below, we are among the leading journals in PM&R.

　　There may be several factors contributing to this increase in impact factor, your efforts to contribute to maintain and increase the quality of the journal being of great importance. I wish to thank you for that and the good collaboration with the journal, as I am now leaving as Editor-in-Chief. I will still be a member of the Board of the Foundation for Rehabilitation Information for some years and in a newly created Commission of Directors for Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine. Concerning the history of the journal during the last 13 1/2 years, when I have been Editor-in-Chief, I refer to my Editorial in the June issue. I also wish you good collaboration for the journal in the future together with the new Editor-in-Chief, Bengt Sj?lund.
